Bored Ghost

A storytelling podcast that uses games to drive the stories. We play a variety of games, from Indy Published Collaborative Storytelling games to traditional Role-Playing Games, all with the intent to tell a cohesive and finite story in about two episodes.

In a small New England town the outside pressures of the Great Depression are barely felt. It is the darkness within the sleepy old town that threatens all hope.

The characters for this game:

Roger Morris (Stacey) - Former University Law Student, now and FBI Agent

Prof. Von Thornton (Ken) - The University Law professor and dabbler in arcane knowledge.

Skippy Von Trapp (Steve) - Ancient Languages graduate student and aspiring cultist.

Judge Argus Wroth  (John) - Town Judge and high-ranking cultist.


The grid for this game:

Between John & Ken: Keepers of a shared secret (of the past?)

Between Ken & Stacey: Part of the Law community

Between Stacey & Steve: Con man and Mark (undercover agent and unwitting junior cultist)

Between Steve & John: Young Upstart and Old Guard cultists.

There are two NEED elements:
- The Need to Get to the Truth About the Secret Ingredient in Madeleine's Pies
- The Need to Get Respect from the Cult by Taking Over

There is a LOCATION element:
- The University Research Lab

There is one OBJECT element:
- A single word on a scrap of paper

We've also added a TILT:

Kitsu the Fox Diety (Lisa) - The avatar of a fox god in female form.

 

Dee-Kay (Ken) - An entropic parasite that has haunted humanity from the beginning of time.

 

President E.R Rager  (John) - President of the United States and alien steroid junky.

Between Ken & Lisa: Their Paths have crossed over the Centuries

Between Lisa & Stacey: Romane, one remembers the other doesn't. Time Travel makes you sad.

Between Stacey & John: One knows the other's identity and uses it as leverage.

- The Need to Get Laid to Continue your Species

There is a LOCATION element:
- The UN Building in New York

There are two OBJECT elements:
- The Mayor's Corpse
- Super Truth Serum

War brews in Europe and the tensions between labor and the industrial bosses is reaching a boiling point in the States. Join Lisa Reinke, Ken Breese and John Holt in a very exacting historical reenactment of early 20th century New York.

Elizabeth "Lizzy" Castelshaft (Lisa) - A progressive woman who exercises her beliefs by gambling and hanging in bars.

Henrich "Hank" Castelshaft (Ken) - The hardworking Lutheran bank teller and German immigrant.

Shawky Mash (John) - A grifter and gambler, a New Yorker who's never worked an honest day in his life. He rocks hobo chic.
