Bored Ghost

A storytelling podcast that uses games to drive the stories. We play a variety of games, from Indy Published Collaborative Storytelling games to traditional Role-Playing Games, all with the intent to tell a cohesive and finite story in about two episodes.

The 18th century France in the summer, the flames of revolution sweep the country.

 

The Killer:

Animated plants, possibly brought to life by an archaeological artifact.

The Characters:

Fromage the hyperactive executioner.

Ovaltine the flirtatious grandmother.

Boothe Van Smeen the tireless gamesman.

Rosalie the haughty milkmaid.

Flemme De'Brooks the half-witted revolutionary.

Morgan the avant-garde revolutionary.

Madamoiselle Satine the saucy maid.

This colony base with its military mission teeters on the edge of disaster.

Quest: The Colony

A generational colony ship has been sent to do an end run around the inhabited worlds of a species the humans of Earth have declared war upon. They are tasked with establishing a colony as a beachhead to launch attacks on the enemy flank. An engineering team has been sent in a smaller ship, the Lightbearer-Alpha just ahead of the colony ship to establish the infrastructure for the landing.

The challenges: Hostile Megafauna in an Oxygen-Rich Atmosphere as well as Dissent & Disagreement amongst the team.

The Characters:

(Dalton)
Main Character: Sibin Ukker (the Youth) - A brash young person who wants to uphold the Earth traditions, to never forget where they come from and desires respect from Jorges.
Minor Character: Nils Gezzun (the Homesteader)

(Ken Breese)
Main Character: Shar-Banu (the Freethinker) - A documentarian who wants a new society, free of Earth's norms and desires Sibin's help in presenting the data to that end.
Minor Character: Milow Beans (the Builder/Engineer)

(John Holt)
Main Character: Jorges Cao (the Visionary/Planner) - A driven engineer and architect who wants to tame the land and build a shining city while desiring Shar-Banu's help in keeping the others convinced that all is going well.
Minor Character: Kana (the Loner)

The Challenges:

(1) Deal with Dangerous Wildlife - a 3 week task
(2) Treat a disease afflicting the colony - a 2 day task
(3) Prevent Schism in the Community - a 2 week task
