A storytelling podcast that uses games to drive the stories. We play a variety of games, from Indy Published Collaborative Storytelling games to traditional Role-Playing Games, all with the intent to tell a cohesive and finite story in about two episodes.

Ribbon Drive, by Avery Mcdaldno is a game built around mixtapes and road-trips. This story takes place over the course of two mixtapes. We all love making a mixtape, so the setup for this game was a joy. In this episode John gives a prompt at about 3 minutes 4 seconds to begin playing the mixtape in sync with the show, but it doesn't need to sync up perfectly.

Phoebe Wilson (Stacey Douglass-Moverely) - Sister to Donna Wilson, she is not convinced that this union is the right thing for her sister.

Peter Dadeed (John Holt) - Youngest child of the affluent Dadeed family, he idolizes his older brother and groom Jacob Dadeed.

This is a brief overview that lays out the basic of setting up and playing a game of Ribbon Drive. 

Recommended number of players: 3-5, Play time 3-6 hours on average

Ribbon Drive is a 'GMless' game, you don't need a Dungeon Master or Game Master setting up the rules and the world. 

We recommend picking up a copy of the rules from Buried without Ceremony. They have copies available as PDF and physical books. Try your friendly local games store. If they carry role playing games they probably carry Fiasco.

In addition to players Ribbon Drive only requires a handful of components:

1) Rulebook 

2) Mixes (1 per player, 45-70 minutes each)

3) Index Cards/Paper

5) Writing Utensils

Between Ken and Giaco: Dealer & Pot Head - Giaco has been selling Ken pot.

Previously on The Raven Trigger part 2: Umbrah, Melzakorn and Belaria slew a dragon outside the cabin of their old mentor. They entered seeking a tome of dark magic. Deep in the subfloors of the cottage in a room of skeletons they find the evil book.

 

Join Ken Breese, Brian Jones, and Giaco Furino as they venture into the a fantasical world of adventure. This week they are playing Fiasco from Bully Pulpit Games using the Dragon Slayers playset.

Umbrah (Ken Breese) - A hulking golem who may be breaking the hold of its creator and master.

Melzakorn (Giaco Furino) - A dark wizard who seeks the power of his master. He is twisted and aged beyond his years- the price of his many dark bargains.

 

Umbrah (Ken Breese) - A hulking golem of clay, stone and flesh this construct follows the commands of his creator, Melzakorn.

Chuck Salisbury is the lead Anchor for Channel 6 News and Brock Stone is his co-anchor. The local fitness expert who runs the workout show on the network is Carly the Curl. Brock and Carly are working to get a scoop over on Chuck and Chuck is keeping a tight fist n the crown. There is a camp for Christ - Jesus Overarching Camp- that seems to rub Chuck Salisbury the wrong way. Things came to a head when Chuck Salisbury punched a protestor who accosted him in the News 6 lobby.

Now we've entered the TILT and added two new elements:

  1. Mayhem: Misdirected Passion
  2. Tragedy: Somebody's life is changed forever, in a bad way

Between Brian and John: they are both on the Action 6 News Team: one is the Tired Mentor the other an Ambitious Protege.

Between Ken and Brian: they are in an Us vs. Them relationship: and One is the star of another locally produced channel 6 show

Between John and Ken they are not fooling around, but everyone thinks they are.

There is a NEED to get famous by finally getting recognition of a human interest story.

There is also a NEED to make a difference by bringing down god’s wrath on this wicked heathen society.

This is a brief overview that lays out the basic of setting up and playing a game of Fiasco. 

Recommended number of players: 3-5, Play time 1.5-3 hours on average

Fiasco is a 'GMless' game, you don't need a Dungeon Master or Game Master setting up the rules and the world. It is helpful to have a facilitator - someone playing with you who has played the game before.

We recommend picking up a copy of the rules from Bully Pulpit Games. They have copies available as PDF and physical books. Try your friendly local games store. If they carry role playing games they probably carry Fiasco.

In addition to 3-5 playersFiasco only requires a handful of components:

1) Rulebook (available here)

2) Playsets (also available here but also available elsewhere online, or you can make you own!)

3) Dice - 4 per player (2 black, 2 white)

4) Index Cards/Paper

5) Writing Utensils

Join Ken Breese, Brian Jones, and John Holt as they venture into the churning waters of local news. This week they are playing Fiasco from Bully Pulpit Games using the News Channel Six playset by Chris Norwood, Ken Coble, and Tom Gurganus

Chuck Salisbury (John Holt) - The lead Anchor of Action Six News

Carly 'The Curl' Smith (Ken Breese) - The fitness guru of a Channel Six workout show

Brock Stone (Brian Jones) - The fledgling co-anchor of the Action Six News

The grid for this game:

Brian and John their relationship: they are both on the Action 6 News Team: one is the Tired Mentor the other an Ambitious Protege.

Between Ken and Brian: they are in an Us vs. Them relationship: and One is the star of another locally produced channel 6 show

Between John and Ken they are not fooling around, but everyone thinks they are.

There is a NEED to get famous by finally getting recognition of a human interest story.

There is also a NEED to make a difference by bringing down god’s wrath on this wicked heathen society.
